I always loved the idea of this game, its deepness and most importantly the way they put all their love into developing it for all this time. I had so much fun with DF content over the last decade, but finding enough time for that learning curve was just not possible for me - so I mostly read their forums, watched letsplays, listened to derived stories. This version of The Lazy Newb Pack is very out of date CURRENT VERSIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE: Lazy Newb Pack Wiki Page Windows PeridexisErrant's Expanded LNP MacOS X fricy's MacNewbie Pack Reborn Linux andrewd18's Lazy Newb Pack Installer OUT OF DATE WINDOWS VERSION BELOW THIS POINT 0.34.11 V15 V15 with Dwarf Fortress 0.34. If after all it is just a supportive nudge in their direction, with the hope that there will be a mac version available in the future. You can control a dwarven outpost or an adventurer in a randomly generated, persistent world. Simply download the version that matches your operating system, and start playing Dwarf Fortress. They bundle the game with some of the best community graphics packs, tools, and interface improvements already configured. Nonetheless - I'll buy it now, with or without proper support to macos. Dwarf Fortress is a single-player fantasy game. The Lazy Newb Pack or Starter Pack are packages to get people started with Dwarf Fortress. Would love to finally dive into this version. The world is randomly generated with distinct civilizations spanning over 1000 years of detailed history, dozens of towns, hundreds of caves and regions with various wildlife. The original/classic version from the b12 website is running under macos if I remember correctly. Dwarf Fortress is a single-player fantasy game. Yeah, was also looking for that instantly :-)
